Classical Interludes: Rebecca Hartka and Inesa Sinkevych
Hartka and Sinkevych will present a program entitled: Russian Soul. They will perform the lush, late-Romantic sonata for cello and piano by Rachmaninov, as well as Shostakovich's witty and biting cello and piano sonata written during communist Russia. These works illustrate the depth of sorrow in Russian music, but also the warmth and humor, and the resilience and strength found through music.
