dweck-lec'-tic: Kamil Tchalaev
Paris-based Kamil Tchalaev, musicien extraordinaire, defies any attempt of classification. Composer, pianist, violinist, singer (whose voice can cover five registers while a usual human voice can handle three), musical instrument collector, teacher, conductor for Paris Sinagogue and the Russian Orthodox Church all rolled in one, Tchalaev incorporates into his music many various influences: from Bach to Paganini to Mongolian overtone singing to contemporary Middle Eastern music to Tibetan chanting.
