JAZZ IT UP @ TONY'S CAFE with THE BILL NOREN TRIO in Concert
Come celebrate life with acclaimed jazz music artists in concert on the last Wednesday of each month at the popular Jazz It Up @ Tony's Cafe Concert & Dinner Experience in Cranford, NJ. The event is hosted by Tony's Cafe, conveniently located at 21 N. Union Avenue in downtown Cranford, NJ, in association with the SunRex Entertatinment Group. The experience includes a choice of a delicious Music Menu Italian cuisine entree, dessert and a beverage. BYOB is welcome.. The authentic cuisine at this long established and wonderfully intimate venue, rated a top best restaurant by Menu Magazine, is a perfect compliment to the Jazz It Up concert experience. The concert series continues on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 7pm with the in demand BeBop Jazz sounds of the Bill Noren Trio in concert that promises to captivate the audience.
This music trio has been on the jazz scene in the New Jersey area for several years and individual members have been on the NJ music scene for much longer. The group specializes in straight-ahead and bebop jazz, having devised its own unique arrangements of standards while still allowing its members to improvise freely. Strong musical style influences from artists such as: John Coltrane, Count Basie, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Ray Barretto, Herb Ellis, Tito Puente, Lester Young, Ron Carter and others have led the group down a path of creative musical discovery.
The group was founded and is led by drummer Bill Noren and includes Bob Funesti on bass and Alex Bryant on guitar. They perform regularly at The Stonehouse in Warren, NJ, The Liberty House in Jersey City, NJ, The Old Riverhouse in Clinton, NJ, the Jazz in The Square series in Easton, PA and the Reading Terminal in Philadelphia, PA, among other venues. They have also been invited to perform for The Seton Hall Law School, The Chubb Corporation and The Hunterdon Medical Center. Their past performances have been noted by the Newark Star Ledger and NJ's premier jazz station WBGO, 88.3 FM. This is their inaugural appearance at the intimate Jazz It Up @ Tony's Cafe event and they are looking forward to making it a regular stop.
The management and staff at Tony's Cafe strive to make sure that every visit to this unique cultural experience is better than the time before. The venue offers the perfect ambience for a relaxing monthly evening of listening pleasure. Delicious cuisine and a BYOB policy helps to create a fun and friendly atmosphere for everyone's enjoyment.
Jazz It Up @ Tony's Cafe tickets are priced at $29.95 per person. Showtime is from 7pm to 9pm. Seating and dinner service for the concert experience starts at 6pm and continues during the program. Good music, Good food, Good friends, Good times at Jazz It Up!
