Alrighty then!  Backwater sounds from The Tarbox Ramblers, real rock 'n' roll from the mighty Downbeat 5 and downhome blues  stringbass, National Steel guitar and drums  from the boys in Sugar Blood Jinx.

TARBOX RAMBLERS
Taking listeners to a place where Appalachian music, ancient blues and gospel come together in powerful, unexpected combinations, The Tarbox Ramblers are left-field traditionalists whose rough-hewn, direct sound has drawn raves from Rolling Stone, All Things Considered, The New Yorker and many more.  This is old-soul music, and in freewheeling shows at clubs and festivals throughout the US and Canada, The Ramblers - string bassist Scott McEwen, drummer Robby Cosenza and guitarist Michael Tarbox - have played it to considerable effect, making converts of audiences wherever they've gone. Robert Plant caught the group's live show and asked them to open his tour dates right on the spot; he later tapped them as backing band for a set with Alison Krauss at The Rock Hall of Fame's Leadbelly Tribute.

DOWNBEAT 5
Formed in 1999 by lead guitarist JJ Rassler (founding member of influential Boston bands DMZ and guitarist / producer for The Queers) and singer/rhythm guitarist Jen D'Angora (The Dents, Jenny Dee and the Deelinquents), along with bassist Mike Yocco and drummer Dan Styklunas, The Downbeat 5 draws on British invasion bands like the Yardbirds and Animals, spikes the brew with the toughest female vocals this side of a women's prison riot, and tops it all off with decades worth of aggression, attitude and volume. The band is often heard on Little Steven's Underground Garage and is featured on his "Coolest Songs in the World" compilation series. The DB5 have shared the stage with such acts as; Holly Golightly, Magic Christian, The Hoodoo Gurus, The Pretty Things, The Knitters, The Blasters, The Zombies, Flaming Stars, Preachers Kids, Muffs, Dick Dale, Detroit Cobras, Sylvain Sylvain, Jayne County and countless like minded bands. Their relentlessly tough live shows have sometimes been augmented with the guest appearance of friend and Animals guitarist, Hilton Valentine.

SUGAR BLOOD JINX
Sugar Blood Jinx can turn real hard blues into something that can raise you up. That's their mantra. Blues with attitude. The band came to their unique sound and style through a series of explorations. As teenagers it was about punk rock and heavy metal but later they decided to deeply explore the roots of American music.  And that my friends, is the story of how they wound up here. Sugar Blood Jinx, good-timey hardcore-boogie blues with attitude. So get on up!!
