Cal Scott and Richard Moore welcome singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Lex Browning to their bi-monthly circle at O'Connor's Vault in Multnomah Village, Monday, February 1 at 7:00pm.  This series is now sponsored by Hearing Health of Beaverton.

Lex Browning's musical history runs through Portland, Nashville and back.  Equally expert on guitar and fiddle, Lex did a stint as fiddle player for Queen Ida the zydeco accordionist for whom he wrote several songs, was a member of the band Great Plains, a staff songwriter, session musician and fiddle player for Tanya Tucker, Pam Tillis, and Trace Adkins.  He has also worked with Vince Gill, Kenny Rogers and many other musicians of note. Returning to Portland, Lex quickly resumed work with his old friends from the Holy Modal Rounders and continues working today with the Freak Mountain Ramblers, Jenny Conlee-Drizos of the Decemberists and as a solo singer/songwriter. He was a founding member of the Trail Band and has appeared on countless albums as well as his own solo venture "Good Rain".  A new project is in the works for release later this year.

The Circle regulars with Lex will be Cal Scott and Richard Moore, who have fine-tuned their acoustic chops together and individually over the past forty-some years. They initially joined forces as a collegiate vocal trio with tv star-to-be Markie Post, then with a rock band in the seventies, and now are four years running with the Songwriter Circle.

Advance tickets are $15 each from  lexpdx.brownpapertickets.com or at the door.  Once the show is sold out, a few tickets may be available at the door, at the discretion of the venue.

O'Connor's Vault is a friendly, comfortable neighborhood music venue offering a full restaurant menu and full bar.
