Koyomi Araragi gets to know Tsubasa Hanekawa, their High School's top honors student.She mentions talk of a "blonde vampire" being sighted around town.
That evening, Koyomi encounters the rumored vampire. She is Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade, also known as the "King of Apparitions", and she is in need of help. She asks Koyomi.
Koyomi's sacrifice will alter his very existence.
