The Sports Salon with Art Thiel and Jerry Dipoto: An Extreme Makeover for the Seattle Mariners
The Sports Salon welcomes Jerry Dipoto, new general manager of the Seattle Mariners, whose transformation of the roster is the talk of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Dipoto, a former MLB relief pitcher for eight seasons, was hired in September 2015 after four years as the general manager of the Anaheim Angels, who reached 98 wins in 2014. He has spent 15 years in the player-personnel departments of five MLB organizations, and was nearly hired as the Mariners' GM in 2009.

Since being hired, Dipoto has moved 41 players on or off the roster! Will this be the solution to return the Mariners to the playoffs for the first time since 2001? Come hear Dipoto's thought process behind these unprecedented changes and more about his new manager, Scott Servais.

Happy hour beverage and free appetizers will be provided.
