Dee Bell with the Marcos Silva Trio
The sultry vocals of Dee Bell combine with the ebullient Brazilian accompaniment of the Marcos Silva Trio to form a captivating mix. Long-time veterans of the Bay Area professional music scene and former Concord Jazz recording artists, both Marcos and Dee have performed for more than thirty-seven years each. In their recent collaboration Silva Bell Elation, Dee's swing vocals float in her relaxed behind-the-beat style over Marco's exciting Brazilian-rooted rhythms for a subtle new yin and yang merging of music that covers a wide genre of material from Tin Pan Alley standards to Joni Mitchell and Neil Young.
