What a spectacular cast of musicians we have at Lizard Lounge tonight, as we pay tribute to our dear friend, Allen Devine, who passed away last September, five months after he was diagnosed with cancer. Allen was an incredibly talented and passionate guitarist & composer born in Boston, where he lived most of his life. He recorded over 30 albums and played thousands of shows around Boston, NYC, and Germany with his own trio, and with artists such as Digney Fignus, the Sonics, the Wickermen, Divinity School, Stardarts, the Rudds, Mark Cutler & Lexington 125, Caged Heat, Asa Brebner, Beatle Butchers, Seth Goodman, Matt Keating. In 2009 Allen moved to Germany with his wife, Janine Devine, and daughter, Alanna Maja. In Berlin he focused on composing, recording, his family life, and traveling, as well as playing with his band, Inside Tracks (see www.allendevine.de, Facebook, and YouTube).
Allen's family and big circle of friends miss his pure-hearted, genuine, loving, humorous and creative soul. Please join us for an incredible evening of music by some of those who played with him, knew him, and loved him most.
