WHPK 88.5 FM Chicago Jazz Format | 6th Annual Black History Month Celebration
Hear vocalist Dee Alexander at the Sixth Annual WHPK 88.5 FM Jazz Format Black History Month Celebration of Jazz, "Our Gift to the World," 7:30 p.m. Sat., Feb. 13, 2016 in International House, 1414 E. 59th St., Chicago, Ill. on the University of Chicago campus.
Accompanying Ms. Alexander is a trio that includes Miguel de la Cerna, piano; Junius Paul, bass; and Yussef Ernie Adams, drums.
The program also includes presentation of the 2016 WHPK 88.5 FM REACH Award to an outstanding music educator.
Doors open at 7 pm.$10 for general admission; and $8 for Jazz Institute of Chicago members and students with ID.
