In the vein of movies such as Bridget Jones Diary and My Big Fat Greek Wedding comes a romantic comedy about twenty-seven year old Jewish accountant, Deb Dorfman (Sara Rue), a lovable doormat, who lives with her funny yet depressed, widowed dad, Burt, (Elliott Gould). In an attempt to win the heart of her unrequited love interest, she offers to cat-sit in his new loft. Deb is suddenly uprooted from the comfort of the suburban San Fernando Valley and gets caught up in the whirlwind of a newly revitalized downtown L.A. In the course of one week, Deb is transformed in ways she never thought possible.
