We are delighted to bring you a night of wonderful post rock soundscapes and noise from 3 wonderful bands!
Gilmore Trail
Gilmore Trail is a four-piece instrumental rock band based in Sheffield. The band is named after a trail in Alaska - a route recommended for the best experience of the Northern Lights.
The band's first release was the "Circle of Least Confusion" EP, which was recorded at 2Fly Studios in Sheffield in October 2011. In January 2013, the first full-length album was released, entitled "Sailing Stones". The band's latest release "The Floating World" was launched in in May this year to critical acclaim, and we are very excited to hear this beauty of an album played live!
Kellar
Before them we bring you the mighty Kellar! The Brighton based improvisational noise rock duo released a belter of an album 'The Even Keel' earlier this year, and have only gone and followed it up with another album 'True Relation of Monstrous Serpent', released in December! A superb live band, we reckon that you will be agreeing with us after seeing and hearing them for yourselves!
Fly On Byrd, fly on
Sheffield based 5 piece instrumental post metal/post rockers Fly On Byrd, fly on first came to our eyes and ears at the wonderful Strangeforms Festival in Leeds in April. Suffice to say that the musical magnificence they gave us meant we had to book them! They played a stormer of a set for us, and we are thrilled to bits to have them back! We know you'll love them as much as we do...
