You are cordially invited to come ring in 2016 with the Natty Massive & Crew! This is not your average ordinary drink 'til you drop new years party, this is an all ages positive punky reggae party for the whole family! We got 7+ hours of non-stop music planned for our friends up in the La Crosse/Driftless area, designed to help set in motion our intentions for the new year, to celebrate the opportunity to turn over a new leaf, and to do it together as a community of like minded individuals!
The vibesetta, DJ Trichrome will kick the night off at 8pm, so the room will be nice and irie by the time Anima hits the stage at 9pm. Trust us, you do NOT want to miss these talented young ladies! They truly have something special going on, so do yourself a favor and get there early to check out their set. You're welcome for the heads up on these two :-)
Then get your dancing shoes on because Trichrome'll kick it up a notch for his second set, getting the room ready for hometown heroes who need no introduction, the alternative ska/reggae powerhouse that is the mighty TUGG!
After they whip us into a frenzy Trichrome will keep it going right up until the champaign toast at midnight when the Natty trio hits the stage! We'll have a bunch of special guests dropping in throughout the set, making this truly a one of a kind set. We (Boogie, AK, & Olen) have only tried this once before, also at the Root Note back in 2014, but we had so much fun we had to do it again! Expect a lot of new takes on your old favorites, and more surprises than we could even possibly plan for...
Once we've taken it as far as we can, we'll turn it back over to Trichrome for his late night dance set where we'll really turn him loose on ya, so who knows where we'll all end up! (hopefully in the jungle eating a ragamuffin... but we'll see)
For those who stick it out until this point in the morning we'll serve up a continental breakfast with a side of live dub courtesy of the one Captain Smooth, dub scientist extraordinaire!
We can't wait to see you all there and to kick off this new year at one of our favorite venues with some of our best friends & musical collaborators!
