Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen

The Port Ludlow Arts Council is bringing in nationally touring bluegrass band, Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen, to perform at "Bluegrass Hootenanny," an indoor-outdoor dinner-concert featuring bluegrass, barbecue and brews.

"Bluegrass Hootenanny" will feature a gourmet farm-style barbecue buffet supper catered by Joann Saul, owner of Dream City Catering and Fins Coastal Cuisine of Port Townsend. Locally crafted beer from Port Townsend Brewery and Finnriver hand-crafted sparkling hard ciders and spirited fruit wines and other wines will be sold. Dinner-concert tickets are $25, with admission to the concert included in the price of the dinner. No one will be admitted to the concert without a dinner ticket.

Solivan's bluegrass band is garnering attention across the country with gigs scheduled this summer in Alaska, Colorado, New York, North Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, Washington and Wyoming.

Central California-born Solivan migrated to Alaska in the 90s, eventually becoming a vocalist and instrumentalist in the U.S. Navy country/bluegrass band "Country Current."

Now residing in Alexandria, Virginia, he is a singer of power and passion, a writer whose articulate songs go straight to the heart, and a multi-instrumentalist on mandolin and fiddle, who combines the pure, hard drive of classic bluegrass with 21st Century sophistication.
