Raging Brass Reggae
Raging Brass Reggae is a horn-based band dedicated to the popular music of Jamaica created in the 1960s. Led by arranger and trumpeter Marc Chillemi (Primo Cubano), the front-line is completed by Mike Ayotte on alto sax, Kyle Hardy (Rustic Overtones) on tenor sax, and trombonist Dave Noyse (Rustic Overtones/Fogcutters Big Band). The foundation is held together by the rhythm section led by the atomic sound of tubist Rafael Fryre (Primo Cubano/Sly Chi) with drummer Gary Gemmiti (Rustic Overtones/Royal Hammer) and guitarist and vocalist Matt Wazowski. Collectively the group creates a strong vibe connected to the classic ska, rocksteady and roots reggae. Out of many one sound.
