Hot Blizzard Folk Festival (previously known as Winter Folk Fest until October 2015) is a single-day, annual folk festival that happens in Portage la Prairie each February. Portage's premier folk fest was established as a fun winter retreat to rejuvenate the body, mind, and spirit and to "melt the winter blues." The small and intimate festival is held in the city's downtown at a large, historic church that boasts an inviting ambiance and incredible acoustics.
