Cora Voce Concert
Poulenc's Christmas Motets, written in 1951, paint four colorful scenes of the nativity story. In the first scene, O magnum mysterium, the mysterious music praises the virgin. In the second scene, Quen vidistis pastores dicite, the music implores the shepherds, "What did you see?" In the third scene, Videntes stellam, the music paints a picture of a starlit night through which the Magi travel. In the final scene, Hodie Christus natus est, the angels proclaim, "Glory to God in the Highest!" One of our grant participants, "Port Orchard Elementary" will be joining us for the Saturday concert. Students and children are free.
