"In the Garden of the Imagination"
"In the Garden of the Imagination" explores what happens when fertile musical imaginations till the literary soil of some of our greatest and most creative writers. The results will be strange and wondrous fruits that will delight both the ear and the mind: an evocative, emotional and thrilling close to this year of celebration.
Featuring the world premiere of "This Bequest of Wings," an enchanting setting of eight Emily Dickinson poems by WVC's artistic director, Michael Conley.
Also on the program: works by Irving Fine (Lewis Carroll text), Eric Whitacre (e.e.cummings text), and Tarik O'Regan (Edgar Allen Poe text.)
