A December Feast
Join us for a musical celebration of the Holy Feasts of December, including feasts for St. Nicholas (and his lesser-known grandmother, St. Ludmilla), the Immaculate Conception, St. Stephen, Holy Innocents (for which the beloved Coventry Carol is written), and, of course, the Nativity. Works span a variety of styles from medieval and Renaissance Europe, including the masterful Sederunt Principes by Perotin Magister. True to the mission of the ensemble, a portion of the concert proceeds will be donated to the YWCA.
In Mulieribus the Latin phrase meaning amongst women is a female vocal ensemble dedicated to the promotion and enrichment of community through the art of music with a focus on works written primarily before 1750. It accomplishes this mission through lively, historically informed, professional performances; through sound recordings projects; and through donations made to local not-for-profit organizations that support women in need.
