Tense and engaging. Inspired by actual events and personalities from a little-known chapter of WWII history, when the Paris Grand Mosque sheltered Jews and was the center for a group of daring, Muslim freedom fighters allied with the French Resistance. Younes, a young Algerian immigrant, is in France to "make his pile and go home." But with peril, secrets, and informants on every side, Younes is inescapably entangled and challenged to choose a path of action. FREE MEN is a powerful reminder of the universal struggle for liberation.
