In 1831 Frenchman Alexis de Tocqueville traveled across our young country, and his writing came to define America as a place where anyone, of any background, could climb the ladder of economic success.
Just under 200 years later, John Fugelsang took an epic trip across America following in Tocqueville's footsteps to see if the American Dream is alive and well in the twenty-first century. To add some sorely needed levity and political irony, Fugelsang's reflections on his Tocqueville odyssey are captured in a stand-up comedy monologue woven throughout the documentary.
DREAM ON has appeared in 14 film festivals and earned two top awards.
