TOP TEN TERMINATION MISTAKES
None of us want to experience termination backlash or lose sleep wondering whether or not we'll be receiving notice from the DFEH (Department of Fair Employment and Housing) or EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) that a legal claim has been filed against our firm. Sandee Rugg, SPHR-CA, Director of Human Resources at Cavignac & Associates will present on the Top 10 Termination Mistakes she's seen unwittingly made by employers who are uninformed about legal compliance issues related to termination and/or who have not developed and use a "best practice" process for termination situations. Sandee will review a best practices approach to developing a termination strategy that will help minimize termination backlash.
Sandee Rugg is the Director of Human Resources for Cavignac & Associates. Since graduating from the University of San Diego with a BA in Psychology, Sandee has focused her business management career in the area of Human
Sandee spent many years working in the legal industry as a Director of Administration and Director of Human Resources. In 1996 she formed a consulting firm, providing human resource and business management advice to local law firms and local businesses.
She joined Cavignac & Associates in 2006 as Director of Human Resources. In that role she manages the agency's day to day HR concerns and provides HR risk management support to Cavignac clients. She presents to and trains clients and various local organizations on HR-related topics.
