Event
Renaissance England / Romantic Russia
On the surface, the five-voice mass of William Byrd and samples of late-19th and 20th century sacred Russian works don't have a lot in common. However, you'll discover they both possess full-bodied but well-focused tone colors, inviting landscapes, and exalted harmonies, but with feet firmly planted on the ground. Come help the CAE celebrate the shared choral richness of William Byrd, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Pavel Chesnokov, Alexandre Gretchaninoff, and others.
