The Snows of Kilimanjaro: Fox Film Series
Historic Fox Theatre Restorations is proud to announce the next film in its 2015 Movie Series, The Snows of Kilimanjaro, sponsored by Helly Hansen.
In this 1952 drama/romance, the life of celebrated American writer Harry Street (Gregory Peck) flashes back before his eyes as he lies dying from a wound suffered at the foot of Tanzania's Mount Kilimanjaro. As he is tended to by his traveling companion, Helen (Susan Hayward), he recalls many things: his first wife and Paris literary inspiration, Cynthia Green (Ava Gardner); his second wife, Countess Liz (Hildegarde Neff); and his formative years with uncle Bill (Leo G. Carroll).
Showtimes on Saturday, November 7, are at 2 and 7 pm at the Fox Theatre in Historic Downtown Centralia, 123 South Tower Avenue. As an additional treat, Fred Beeks will be on hand to play the Fox Theatre organ before each screening.
Admission for the movie is $8 per person, $7 for Members, and $20 per family (three to four persons).
