The "French Connection" is a folk/country/bluegrass/americana band based in Lake County Florida. Playing a mix of selected covers and original material written by singer/songwriter John French.
Biography
John French..born in Kentucky, grew up in Texas, lived a good while in Tennessee, now in Florida! Been writing lyrics since I was 13, and songs since I learned guitar when I was 16. Had one co-written song published when a friend joined a Knoxville,TN based band called the V-Roys in 1996. They recorded a song called "No Regrets" under Steve Earles indie label E-Squared records. Got a few 3 and 4 dollar checks from BMI for a few months!!
For the past couple of years I've been slowly recording a set of two CD's with Bob Rafkin in Orlando at his studio....might be done by end of the year....and then maybe we will see what happens! Just happy to be here! Love making the music at festivals and places here in Central Florida with my friends! Namaste! JOHN fRENCH
