Hu Enigma - Street Views series
Pedro Urano, Brazil, 2011, 72 min.

Pedro Urano's meditation on architecture and the human conditions is first and foremost a cinematic portrait of the University Hospital in Rio de Janeiro, a structure that uniquely embodies modernism's utopic project and it's ruin.  Urano's camera alternates between fluidity and stasis, juxtaposing tableaus of decay with the daily activity of a working hospital.
