As part of Pensacola's second Foo Foo Fest, this concert - the first of our 80th season - will feature some of our favorite choral pieces, as well as outstanding performances by soprano Sheila Murphy and tenor Antonio Giuliano, all conducted by Xiaolun Chen.
Works on the program range from classical masterpieces (among them, Bach's "Lobet den Herrn" and "Hallelujah" from Beethoven's "Christ on the Mount of Olives") to contemporary compositions (such as Eric Whiteacre's "Water Night") to folk and patriotic songs (including "Amazing Grace, "Shenandoah" and "The Battle Hymn of the Republic").
