Big Screen Barrelhouse 2 : Live bands re-invent Silent Films
Back by popular demand, The Rio Theatre presents BIG SCREEN BARRELHOUSE 2!! A modern throwback to the silent film era. A live music performance with Film classic visuals from the 1890s - 1930s will have their soundtracks re-imagined by some of Vancouver's most talented acts!
Dress in Silent Film Era style! Doors at 8pm show starts at 9pm Tickets $10 in advance / $12 at the door.
Including the amazing talents of the following artists :
- Blackberry Wood ("what do you know, they're pretty good!") - The Tailor (swooning in full effect) - The Creaking Planks (instrumental misfits) - Meek Odyssey (a shy epic) - K-Tel (electro-swingin') - Jess Hill (in some magical incarnation) - Taal Mala (now with bionic limbs!) - Mind Of A Snail (light sauce reduction) - Members of Orkestar Slivovica, and possibly Maria In The Shower! (Awaiting confirmation) -MORE ACTS ANNOUNCED SOON! STAY TUNED..
AAAAAND we'll finish off the evening with a proper joint poppin' swing dance party!
