Colors of the Sun (Saturday May 5 @ 8pm)
Melodia Women's Choir, Cynthia Powell Artistic Director, present the New York premiere of Jonathan Dove's furiously fast-paced piece "It sounded as if the streets were running"
featuring duelling conductors; dramatic and rousing songs about the natural world by Rachmaninoff, Estonian folks tales by VeljoTormis, and a free-flowing, vibrant chant by contemporary American composer Karen P. Thomas.
