Since her 1999 Lilith Fair appearance, Stephanie Schneiderman has seldom stood still. In live performance and on record, she has moved in new artistic directions, from the harmonic convergence of Dirty Martini, her collaboration with singer-songwriters Lara Michel and McKinley, to her most recent venture floating her sultry voice on a totally contemporary electronic stream, but one that gets in your head, not in your face. Beneath it all remains the girl with guitar and crystal clear songwriting skills. And that's the Stephanie coming to O'Connor's for this fifth in the series of Songwriter Circles. http://www.stephanieschneiderman.com
Along with Stephanie, the regular guys singing anything but regular songs - will be Cal Scott, jack-of-many-genres who writes and performs with The Trail Band and Kevin Burke, and the word-witty and tunewise Richard Moore, likely to share a few more scenes from "Rain," his musical-in-the-works about Portland. In addition to their more serious original tunes, Cal and Richard are likely to come up with a song inspired by audience title suggestions.
Tickets are $12 in advance from brownpapertickets.com or $15 at the door. Seating is very limited. Best bet is early purchase of advance tickets.
