Uinta County Concert Series - 6 Miles Ahead
Molded in the tradition of other great vocal groups such as Manhattan Transfer and New York Voices, 6 Miles Ahead has garnered excitement and respect in Utahs jazz community. This jazz choir is comprised of the best vocal talent across the Wasatch front. They perform music arranged for 4-6 part mixed voices with rhythm section accompaniment and some a cappella. Though emphasis is placed on jazz standards, the group performs a wide range of musical styles from jazz blues, funk, and Latin, to Bach, and the Beatles. Meticulous and dead serious in their pursuit of vocal excellence, 6 Miles Ahead will leave audiences teeming with energy and bursting with melody.
