An Evening of Flamenco with Arturo Martinez and the Espiritu Gitano Ensemble
Led by Arturo Martínez, a noted figure in the New York flamenco scene, the Espiritu Gitano ensemble of musicians, singers and dancers present Fela-menguz (Fugitive Peasant). Through music and dance incorporating global influences from the traditions of Spain, the Middle East and India, Espiritu Gitano showcases the beauty and boldness of flamenco and the possibilities of blending cultures in defiance of conflicts.
