CHI's 6th Annual Fall Gala
Each year CHI holds an annual fall gala in the lovely town of Sebastopol. Located in western Sonoma County, in the heart of California wine country, Sebastopol has small-town charm and lends itself wonderfully to hosting a grass-roots organization like CHI.
The event is completely run by volunteers and starts with a wonderful wine-and-cheese-pairing reception, featuring a wide selection of elegant local wines and cheeses as well as a variety of other delectable appetizers. A catered gourmet dinner follows the reception. This year it features some of the best African flavors to be found this side of the Serengeti. All foods are donated by local stores and farm stands.
Throughout the gala there is a silent auction featuring an assortment of items including hand-crafted African jewelry, artwork, books, gift cards, admission tickets to local attractions and, of course, some of the best wines Sonoma, Napa, and other nearby counties have to offer
