Volti Concert - Another Page
Volti -- San Francisco's award-winning, leading-edge new music vocal ensemble -- continues its 37th Season, "The Next Page," focusing on an exploration of the work of three dynamic composers we discovered through our young composer program.

"The Next Page" continues with the music of Robert Paterson, who has written a piece based on the graffiti he sees in the world around him. Volti will sing the world premiere of "Graffiti Canons," along with excerpts from two earlier Volti-commissioned Paterson works, "The Essence of Gravity" and "Eternal Reflections." Robert Paterson's compositions have been described by New Music Box as "vibrantly scored and well-crafted" music that "often seems to shimmer." As has become Volti's tradition, the concert will be followed by an opportunity for the audience and artists to connect -- one of our well-loved "Inter-ceptions!"

Also on the program:
Again, by David Lang
Into Being, by Ingrid Stölzel
Canticles of Rumi, by Mark Winges

Conductor:  Robert Geary
