OAKLAND BAY AREA COMMUNITY CHORUS -"SING INTO SPRING"
The Oakland Bay Area Community Chorus will perform African American spirituals, gospels and jazz styles. The concert will feature choral director, Bill Bell's JAZZ CONNECTION QUARTET with soloists channeling singers from Harlem's historic COTTON CLUB of the 1920s.The Chorus will also perform Duke Ellington's "I'M BEGINNING TO SEE THE LIGHT", during thE JAZZ infused nightclub section of the annual "Sing into Spring" concert.Loni Williams, assistant director will direct the gospel selections.
