A CONCERT TO THE EARTH with GRAMMY Award Nominee Gentle Thunder
Timeless Earth Wisdom and Lana Holmes presents...A CONCERT TO THE EARTH. Join us for an intimate evening with GRAMMY award nominated multi-instrumentalist (grand hammer dulcimer & Native American flutes) Gentle Thunder who will offer a night of spirit infused music and heart felt musings. Hosted in the beautiful residence of Lana Holmes, Montebello, this event promises to be a deeply meaningful and nourishing time.
Carriers of timeless earth wisdom, Pele Rouge and FireHawk, will offer a story for these times to help set the context for our evening.
Gentle Thunder lives in Mt. Shasta, CA yet enchants audiences worldwide and is known for her distinctive sound, heart filled presence and diverse musical talent. The Wall Street Journals Jim Fusilli calls her music direct and organic.
Honoring all life as sacred and walking the Beauty Way, Gentle Thunder is far more than an entertainer. She is a visionary and her music is a prayer for healing and wholeness. Being an instrument for the Creator, her life is abundant with composing, recording, producing other musicians, performing solo and with other amazing artists, teaching and inspiring groups and individuals of all ages, facilitating sacred events and ceremonies, collaborating in service with non-profit organizations as well as appearances with the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers whenever possible.
Gentle Thunder began her musical career over 30 years ago as a rock n roll drummer and has recorded and produced 7 albums to date. She is largely a self taught musician and in 2006 was recognized with a Grammy nomination for Best New Age album for her album Beyond Words w/ Will Clipman & AmoChip Dabney. Fellow Grammy finalist for Best New Age album were Enya, Peter Kater, Andreas Vollenweider and Enigma.
