Grainbelt
This self-described "Beer Battered Twang & Roll" band is fronted by Howard Glassman, proprietor of Valentine's in Albany, host of the radio show "The Fabulous Sounds" on The Exit, 97.7 WEXT, and long time presence in the Capital District music scene.
Grainbelt's original music has the pure energy of punk, the joy of rock and roll, and the emotional depth of Americana. In honor of the setting for this special CD release celebration, they'll be taking an acoustic approach to their songs with two guitars, bass and drums. Fans of the Coal Palace Kings will recognize the line-up of Glassman, Jason Hughes and Tim Hurst, along with new member Chris Blackwell.
