Christmas Ceilidh
The Seattle Children's Chorus invites you to join us for a joy-infused Christmas Ceilidh. The word, Ceilidh (kay-lee), is derived from a Gaelic word meaning "visit" or "house party". Both the Irish and the Scottish had social gatherings to celebrate their folk music which included singing, instrumental pieces, dancing and even a story or two. Our choirs are collaborating with Randal Bays, a nationally renowned Irish fiddle player and guitarist, for a Highland Ceilidh that is sure to "raise the roof".
