Directing For Film Class
This is a hands on class for aspiring filmmakers of all levels who are serious about learning the techniques and skills of a professional working Director. The 6 week class will cover the preparation a director must take before frame 1 rolls. Students will produce and Direct a short film with the guidance of the Teaching Artist and learn how to execute your creative vision in a simple, organized and efficient way.
ABOUT THE TEACHING ARTIST:
Jason Winn is an award winning independent film director best known for such works as the critically acclaimed feature film The Fat Boy Chronicles, the "Best Director" winning short film Last Bullet, and the recreation of the Paula Peril comic series. Along with his success in full length and short feature film, he has extensive experience with documentary films and groundbreaking advertising work, such as the edgy and shocking "Your Silence Kills" antibullying campaign. Winn recently completed production on The Assault, starring Khandi Alexander and Mackenzie Vega, airing on network television in the fall of 2014. Full bio: www.jasonwinndirector.com
