Rat City All-Star Clinic 2: Jamming and Juking for All

Join us for a 2-hour Clinic lead by skaters from the Rat City All-Star Team.

Date and Time: Saturday, February 18th 2012, from 11am to 1pm.

This second of five clinics will focus on jamming and juking at the beginner to intermediate level. Everyone can learn the skills to juke past a blocker or push through a wall. Blockers and jammers alike can benefit from learning how to get out of traps, regain momentum, and move a wall or blocker forward without literally pushing from behind. We'll focus on footwork, body positioning, and speed control to help you one-up whoever is standing in your way.

We request that all participants are able to skate using cross-overs, can safely give/receive contact and fall small.

Coaches who wish to observe drills and strategy may purchase an Observer ticket.

Please bring all required derby gear and skates (including wheels appropriate for a hard sport court), a water bottle, and a notebook and pen if you'd like to take notes.
