The Crane Wives wsg Ida's Rope
We're proud to present the first in a series of "Inside the MItten" events at Watermark 920.  "Inside the MItten" is a recurring series of  showcases that will feature musical acts born of the great state of Michigan.  The focus of the evening is placed on a moderated discussion designed to expose the stories and experiences that go into writing the amazing music you hear day in and day out while enjoying these great peninsulas we call home.

See these bands in a relaxed and intimate setting, get to know them, engage them and hear the stories behind their music.

It brings us great pleasure to announce our first "Inside The MItten" evening  featuring The Crane Wives with special guest Ida's Rope on January 6!  Our moderator for the evening is Benjamin Slayter.

The Crane Wives are a home grown indie-folk outfit from Grand Rapids, MI that defies musical stereotypes. They formed in late August of 2010, and finished the recording of their self-produced debut album "Safe Ship, Harbored" in April of 2011. The record was released on May 12th at Founder's Brewing Company in GR. The band utilizes three-part vocal harmonies, eclectic instrumentation, and a passion for songcraft to create organic music that is both accessible and innovative. Each live show features contagious energy as well as original music that ranges from whisper quiet ballads to danceable grooves.
