Escher String Quartet
On March 6, the stellar Escher String Quartet will make its long-awaited debut on our series. Championed by the Emerson Quartet, the Escher is one of the few ensembles to be awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant. The fast-rising quartet currently serves as Artists of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Their sumptuous program will include masterworks by Mozart and Janáček, culminating with one of the pillars of the chamber repertoire, Schubert's "Death and the Maiden" Quartet.
