Herd of Harpsichords VI with Anton Nel
The incomparable superstar pianist Anton Nel tackles the Herd of Harpsichords on both harpsichord and fortepiano. He is joined by director and harpsichordist Keith Womer. They will perform concertos for 2 keyboards and orchestra by Bach and his sons.
Anton Nel on harpsichord? "No way", you say. "Way", we say. In a special first-time-ever treat for Austin audiences, Anton will perform on harpsichord as well as fortepiano. Together with Keith Womer, they will perform concertos for 2 keyboards by J.S. Bach and three of his most illustrious sons, including the famous and unique concerto for fortepiano and harpsichord by CPE Bach.
Mr. Nel and Mr. Womer are joined by the full La Follia chamber orchestra perfoming on instruments identical to those used in the time these concertos were written.
