The Rodney Kelley Jazz Experience and The Ladies That Sing
The Rodney Kelley Jazz Experiences takes the stage at Eubie Live! with special guests vocalists blues singer ROSE HUDSON and R&B/jazz vocalist VIVIAN OWENS. A staple in the Baltimore metro area, guitarist Rodney Kelley charms audiences everywhere from neighborhood clubs like Maceo's and Phaze 10 to major festivals like the main stage at Artscape and Cylburn Sounds: Jazz Under the Stars with his offerings of contemporary and straight ahead jazz and hot blues with some of the top musicians in the area--Tony Lunsford (bass), Ken Trusty (drums), Rodney Kelley, Jr. (keys) and Russell Lyles (sax).
In conjunction with the 100th year of Baltimore's own Billie Holiday, a special exhibition will be on display on the first floor of the Eubie Blake Cultural Center. Rodney & crew will offer a special tribute to Lady Day with a few of her classic tunes by jazz songstress LARZINE!
