Romantasy Cabaret - New Year's Eve Gala
Romantasy Cabaret offers another festive New Year's Eve Gala guaranteed to be the most unique way to ring in your New Year's!
Celebrate the New Year decadently with Phoenix's original vaudeville cabaret and variety show brimming with fun-filled skits, belly dancers, magic acts, silly comedy, burlesque performers, and live music. The second annual New Year's Eve Gala will feature live music by Tesoro, a "Flamenco Fusion" band hailing from Tucson Arizona. www.tesorotucson.com. Patrons are welcome to dance to their unique blend of Gipsy Jazz during several cabaret show intermissions and after the cabaret portion of the show. In fact, Tesoro will also play the music for some of Romantasy Cabaret's dance performances.
Guests may also purchase delicious homemade food by Chi Chi's Tacos who will be serving up such tasty eats as Carne Asada Taco, Chicken Tacos as well as Vegan or Vegetarian offerings. www.chichistacos.com
The festive event is a masquerade ball. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their finest threads with masks, evening attire and definitely dancing shoes!
Midnight will bring on the countdown fanfare and a champagne toast alongside the cast and crew.
Partiers are also invited to stay after the cabaret where cast and crew come out to dance the night away to the music by Tesoro and with the guests, until the wee hours of the New Year.
The event will be held at Club Red in Tempe, at 2155 East University Drive, on December 31, 2011. Doors open at 8:30pm with the show beginning at 9:30pm. Tickets range from VIP seating in front of the stage for $50, Premium Reserved Seating near the front of the stage for $40, and regular Reserved Seating for $30. Ticket prices include party favors, a champagne toast at midnight and a free raffle entry to win a grab bag stuffed with treats, memoirs and favors from Romantasy Cabaret, Tesoro and Chi Chi's Tacos.
Romantasy Cabaret won a New Times' Best of Phoenix award for Best Vaudeville Show in 2008. The cast and crew have offered the same unique blend of entertainment since 2007 and continue to grow each year in both size and talent. Expanding from an original cast and crew of about 14 to the present number of nearly 50, cast members create original choreographies, write and audition their acts, as well as create their own costumes and props, to keep each show fresh and unique.
Mizz Lucy Morals, the host and originator of Romantasy Cabaret, urges advance purchase of tickets as this show is expected to sell out.
Tickets range from VIP seating in the front row for $50, Premium Reserved Seating (seats located in the front half of the venue) $40, and Reserved Seating for $30.
