Two Black latinas by the same name are at the center of the story. One Ana works as a cashier in a Miami market and dreams of becoming an actress. The other Ana is an actress who plays an African slave in a soap opera, and dreams of playing a leading role in a Hollywood film. Fantasy and reality, success and deception mix up in this drama/comedy that bends racial boundaries and stereotypes, where "perception is not reality."
