Paper Shoes

Paper Shoes is The Humans dance/performance journey into nostalgia, memory, inevitability and escape. Scenes and characters are layered and juxtaposed as six performers float through the non-linear structure which is visually crafted like a film or a dream or a child's mind--episodic and mysterious. The dimension of choreographer Rachel Bunting's poetic approach to performance is amplified by her costume, music, video and sculptural collaborators and is brought to life by the performers.

This performance is the culmination of Rachel Bunting's Chicago Dancemakers Forum Lab Artist Award.

This program is part of The Chicago Moving Company Performance Project. The Chicago Moving Company is an Arts Partner with the Chicago Park District in residence at Hamlin Park.
