Parsonsfield with Ian Fitzgerald opening
"They harmonize; they play saws, mandolins and pump organs; they back their songs with crickets and squeaking screen doors; they are boisterously youthful yet deftly sentimental...I fully expect to hear more from this band as the years go on.' - David Vescey, The New York Times
"Integrating banjos, vibes and mandolin into their ramshackle set-ups, they offer up a series of heartfelt nods, the best of which the lilting "The Hurry All Around," the rousing "Punching the Air," a gently shuffling "Weeds or Wildflowers" ensure an instant affability... Given the fun and frenzy they currently purvey, Poor Old Shine offers an illuminating good time." - The Bluegrass Situation
