An Evening of Bosnian Sevdah & Dance
Sevdah is the traditional music genre of urban town centers of old Bosnia and Herzegovina. This evening will feature sevdalinke by Bosnian performers now residing in the San Francisco Bay Area. The performers are Muhamed Kocan, Rasima Alisic Klisturic, and Hajrudin Hajric. They will be joined by Mary Sherhart and the Kitka Singers. The musicans will include: Dzevad Zeric - accordion and Dzenan Gacanovic - key board and arrangments. The Bosnian dance ensemble, Bosnjak, will perform. There will be traditional food and dancing.
