Filmed in Lake Worth, A Good Day opens with Lenny hiring a hit man to kill him so only his children and not his soon to be ex-wife will inherit his estate. On the day of the hit, Lenny talks with his friend Fred when Mara, Lenny's wife, barges in. Lenny orders Mara out reminding her of the restraining order. Lenny tells Fred he will drop by Hal's Bar in a bit to see Sara, his new girlfriend. Lenny tells Sara he is making Mara wait for the final divorce papers. Lenny goes home and is met by a police officer. The officer tells Lenny that Mara was killed during an apparent robbery and the perp was killed during the arrest attempt.
